journey movie review

Amrita (Ananya) is a town girl who comes to Hyderabad to attend a job interview. She takes the help of a stranger Gowtam (Sharwanand) to reach her interview place from the bus-stand. She is naive as well as suspicious of city guys. They travel together for a day, but doesn’t exchange their numbers though they started liking each other. Krishna (Jai) works in a metal shop and he falls in love with a neighbor Madhumati (Anjali). Anjali is a dominating girl who keeps Jai in constant tests to approve his love. Amrita realizes her love after coming back to her town and want to meet Gowtam. A bus starts from Vijayawada and another bus starts from Hyderabad. The rest of the story is all about what happens when these two buses traveling in opposite directions collide head-on (these buses carry these four principle characters).

sri rama rajyam review

Sri Rama Rajyam Reviews
Movie Cast:  Balakrishna, Nayantara, ANR, K.R. Vijaya, Srikanth, Brahmanandam
Genre:  Mythology | Family
Directed by:  Bapu
Octogenarian director Bapu has been described as one of the top directors who specialised in making films that represented nativity, culture and richness of folk elements peculiar to the Telugu language.Bapu and late writer Mullapudi Venkataramana teamed up to deliver classics like 'Muthyaala Moggu', 'Budhdhimanthudu' and 'Andaala Ramudu'.
Venkataramana died few months ago and this time Bapu teamed up with Ramana to deliver another classic called 'Sri Rama Rajyam', a remake of 1960s Telugu hit 'Lava Kusha'.
Superstar Balakrishna finally stepped into his legendary father NTR's shoes and impressed audiences playing the role of Lord Rama.
His performance reminded everyone of his father in a few shots, which undoubtedly cheered up the die hard Nandamuri fans
He ably depicts the pain of the king who is caught between his love for his wife and the rule of dharma. The idealistic theme is contemporary too, since it could inspire selfish rulers in realising that they should pay more attention to the wishes of the people than their own beliefs, even at the cost of sacrificing personal happiness.
Bapu could have hastened up the slow-paced narration a bit, demanded better visuals from cinematographer Raju and avoided few scenes that resembled a stage play.
Although, music maestro Ilayaraja belts out a few chartbusters, the album is no match to the enchanting compositions of the legendary Ghantasala.
Another interesting aspect of the film is the riveting performance by Nayantara, who erases her 'glam girl' image by breathing life into the role of Sita. Balakrishna too breaks away from his 'angry man' image and puts up a decent performance as an idealistic king.
The legendary ANR showcases his acting brilliance as sage Valmiki and children Tanay Teja and Satvik put in an impressive performance as Luv and Kusha.
After a long gap, we have a Telugu film that parents can watch with their kids without any embarrassing scenes.

nuvvila

Actor-director Ravi Babu has chosen a contemporary subject for his Telugu film Nuvvila. It's about the gen X, their aspirations, parents' role in their lives, their confusions, their outlook and so on. It's not that this has not been dealt with before but Ravi Babu chooses to depict a story woven around all this. The story is written by Satyanand.
The film is entertaining but the script has loopholes. There is an overdose of certain things which are unwarranted like the gay concept and simplistic treatment at times. The film is made on a shoestring budget by Usha Kiran Movies which is pretty evident.
Story:
Anand (Ajay) is a confused lad because his mother wants him to study medicine, while his father wants him to study engineering. His father feels he is not responsible. So Anand takes up a job at a pizzeria.
Raja (Prasad) is a violinist who aspires to become a musician and lands up in the city to nurture his passion, as his father wouldn't hear of him playing the violin. But he doesn't get far because of his lisp. He joins the same pizzeria.
Mahesh (Havish) wants to be a model and spends all his dad's money on clothes. He lands up to work in the same pizzeria. These three become buddies.
Anand is smitten by Archana (Yami Gautam) but she loves Vishnu [ Images ] Vardhan (Vijay Sai), a cricketer. Raja keeps bumping into Rani (Ramya) his classmate and they can't stand each other but there's a twist in store for him. Mahesh loves Madhavi (Sarayu) and breaks up with her and is chased by a gay person! So the film looks at the intertwined lives of all these characters and what happens in their lives.
The plot is routine but Ravi Babu infuses enough humour in the lines and situations of the characters and does not have the regular comedians for a change. Plus, he himself looms large as a police inspector.

Performance:
Besides the script,  the film works because of the lead actors. All of them are new faces except Prasad from Mumbai  who is seen on television and ads. Ajay, Havish, Yami, Ramya and Sarayu have put in decent performances. Prasad, with his cherubic looks, brings a smile on people's faces, particularly with his lisping and body language. It was creditable that he dubbed for this film. All the actors lived their parts, look believable and have a bright future ahead.
Ajay was rather subdued in his performance, Yami's pretty and charming, Havish was apt in his portrayal, Ramya and Sarayu too infused life in their roles.
Shekhar Chandra's music is melodious in parts, while Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics meaningful at times. Marthand K Venkatesh could have perhaps used his editor's cut more judiciously during the gay episodes.
Nuvvila is about the youth, by the youth (in terms of actors) but for the youth and others as well.

mogudu review

Krishna Vamsi never makes films following the current trend. The filmmaker has his own set of likes and dislikes and he shows it clearly in all his films. His films often portray the virtues of a family and how a joint family with values is much important in the present day material world. Let’s see if Krishna Vamsi has continued this in his new film Mogudu.
Casting:
Gopichand, Tapsee Pannu, Rajendra Prasad, Shraddha Das, Roja, Naresh .

Plot:
Anjaneya Prasad (Rajendra Prasad) is a happy and contented man. He lives happily with his son Ram (Gopichand), three daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren in the same house. However, he has one wish unfulfilled that is to see his son marry and settle down in life. But Ram keeps delaying marriage, as he is apprehensive whether his wife will agree to live in a joint family. However, Ram finally relents after he comes across Raja Rajeswari (Tapsee Pannu). She is the daughter of politician Chamundeshwari (Roja) and Naresh. The marriage takes place but even before the newly weds can go home a small issue between the two families get blown out of proportion. As a result, the two families break up the marriage and part ways. Later, Ram and Rajeswari plans to go abroad for some time to overcome their grief. In a coincidence, the two of them head to the same place Mauritius.  The story now takes an interesting turn as Ram meets an old friend Shraddha Das. What is interesting is that Shraddha is smitten by Ram and she wants to marry him as his marriage with Rajeswari is on the rocks. However, the married couple reconciles their differences and marries in Mauritius. They come back to India only to face the wrath of their respective families. How they come out of the situation is the remaining part of the story. Performance:
Gopichand is good both as a loving son as well as a lover and husband. He also gets to bash up a few bad guys a couple of times to please his fans. Tapsee Pannu is hot and she also does a good job in the acting department. Her dubbing though is a bit loud but she must be appreciated for trying hard to do a good job. Shraddha Das is hot and at the same time also showcases her acting skills. Rajendra Prasad excels in his role and proves that he can essay any type of character with ease. Roja is appropriate as a headstrong politician. Naresh fits the bill as a timid husband. Ahuthi is seen in a two-minute role. The rest do their bit as required.
