The last rites of Mr Eelaprolu Jayachandra, a 22-year-old student of Kanuru, on the outskirts of this city, who was shot dead last Saturday during a robbery at Houston in USA were performed here today. Jaychandra's body reached here from US last night

Jaychandra went to Houston for higher studies in July this year. He was working as a part time employee in a gas station there, where he was killed. The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) took the responsibility of bringing his body here after completing all the legal formalities, but the process was delayed due to Christmas holidays.

A large number of relatives, well wishers and friends of the family gathered at his residence in Kanuru.(NSS)
