New Delhi: In order to deter non-serious applicants from "crowding the electronic media landscape", the government today decided to increase the net worth criteria for those seeking permission to run TV channels in the country.

Bappi Lahiri with Models For TV Show

Bappi Lahiri is excited about his acting debut on the small screen in Disney`s new show "Ishaan".
"I liked the idea, the script and also the fact that this was not just for singing but Disney offered me a chance to act as well. So I decided to take it up because I have never acted in a show," Lahiri told reporters.

Chiranjeevi has plans to launch a TV channel and a daily news paper. According to sources, the electronic and print media which will be launched soon will support the activities of his political party Praja Rajyam. It will also further the film business conducted by his family members Allu Aravind and Naga Babu. Soon Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan Tej will also turn into film producers.
